The Venerable Nana Nagle Interschool Rolling Trophy debate was held on 26th April 2022 at the Presentation Convent Higher Sec. School, Rajbagh. As the practice is, the best schools of the valley had been invited for this prestigious event.

The motion of the debate was “Homeschooling Creates Social Misfits” and our school was represented by Mujtaba Farooq (XII) and Madiha Tariq (XII).

Before the debate got underway, a cultural programme was organized by the school which was performed by the students of 6th and 8th standard of the host school.

No sooner the event got off to the start, the excitement started to build up, and it only kept getting better as the event progressed. Each participant looked thoroughly prepared and demonstrated incredible debating skills. The event had everybody on their toes and choosing a winner would have been difficult for the judges.

Our team faced a tough competition from all leading schools of the valley such as Burnhall High school, Tyndale Biscoe, Mallinson Girls High School, Green Valley and Army public school.

The students of our school, however, performed brilliantly and their debating skills had audience absolutely spellbound. They made a great impact on the audience by their logics and reasons. They expressed their ideas with great eloquence, confidence and appropriate examples. They won the hearts of the people present there by their wit and spontaneity.

Although, results were unexpected as we were hoping to get the first prize. Delhi Public School, Srinagar, nevertheless, bagged the Runner’s up trophy and Madiha Tariq was declared as the best speaker by the jury.
