DPS Srinagar student wins the Best Speaker award at Claude Martin debates
Dawood Riyaz Wani of Class XI was declared as “The Best Speaker” in the 8th edition of Claude Martin Debates hosted by La Martiniere College Lucknow. In view of the pandemic, the event was held online, starting from August 24, 2021. Twenty-four schools from all over the country participated in the event, and the school team put in a spirited performance to reach the quarterfinals, where they ended up as runners-up, despite being exposed to the Cambridge style of debating for the first time.
