UNITY IN DIVERSITY
Class I and II visit to different places of worship in Srinagar
On 19th May students of class 1 and 2 of Tiny Tots wing of our school were given an opportunity to experience and reflect in the atmosphere of different places of worship in Srinagar which are a symbol of the rich diversity of the state. ‘Unity in Diversity’ was the mood which echoed amongst students while visiting a few places of worship which show the syncretic fiber of the state of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh. Students were well informed about the names of places they were visiting be it Chhatipadshahi, Hazratbal shrine, Pokhribal Temple, or Holy Christ Church.
Children were excited to know more about the places where their friends representing different faiths come to pray. Students not only enjoyed the beauty of the various places of worship which are the cultural pride of our state but also took a pledge to show respect towards one another and celebrate each other’s festivals with joy and enthusiasm.
