Tiny Tots wing of Delhi Public School, Srinagar celebrated Children’s Day on 14th November, 2017 with great enthusiasm. Children arrived at school dressed in colourful clothes and were thrilled to get fancy pencils decorated by their teachers.  There was excitement in the air and the young ones were full of stories about their special day at school.

Teachers had also organised a special assembly to celebrate Children’s Day. The assembly began with a prayer “Lab pe aati hai dua….”. Then, children from grade 1 enthusiastically performed on a song ” mein pariyo ki….”. This was followed by a wide arrayof various programmes organised by teachers. The message of Children’s Day was conveyed through a puppet show. They were completely immersed when the teachers enacted a comedy skit about a mighty lion which was defeated by a fly. Some teachers performed traditional dance “Roff”. The students loved it! A dance item by teachers on a comedy song left the students in bouts of laughter as they enjoyed the witty and humorous sections of the dance item. The assembly was concluded with a group song sung by teachers to celebrate spirit of childhood. The children really had a good time on their special day.
