School conducts Sur-Bahar – musical programme
On 30th of April 2019, a grand and magnificent musical event entitled SUR- BAHAAR a musical journey (season-2 was organized by the faculty of Music.
Students across the board presented their respective items individually as well as in group. It was a well-organized and variety based programme containing all the aesthetical tastes and sorts of entertainment and excitement. From Indian classical music (RAAG Gayan) to western music, semi-classical to light and Qawali students provided every performance a unique and special treatment it deserves and hence make the whole event a live, electrifying and a treat to watch to. They not only won the hearts and minds of the audience watching the programme but also make them spell bound through their dynamic performances.
The main guests who witnessed the whole event were Mr Humayoon Kaisar (Ex-Director and Broadcaster of Radio Kashmir Srinagar), and Mr Aijaz Rah (A well established and well known singer cum musician of our valley). They not only enjoyed every segment of the programme, but were also pleasantly surprised by the mesmerizing and melodious renditions both vocal as well as orchestral. They were impressed by the musical presentations and provided their encouragement and appreciation by acknowledging that the school is the fountainhead of creativity.
