Class 1st celebrates Baisakhi

In keeping with our tradition of celebrating all festivals with fervour, the children of Class 1st organized a special assembly to mark Baisakhi on Tuesday, 16th April 2019. The assembly commenced with the prayer “Lab pe aati hai dua….” Few students came forward by turn to speak about the origin of Baisakhi. This was followed by a skit wherein some students threw light on the importance of the festival. The students also presented a sonorous group song. Later, a foot tapping “Bhangra” dance performance was presented by the students. The assembly concluded with the depiction of Baisakhi. The students were dressed up in beautiful Punjabi attire,s and showed how the harvest festival is celebrated. The depiction impressed everyone. Later Principal, Mr Alistair Freese acknowledged the diligence of students and teachers and congratulated all of them for making the assembly possible.
