School reaches semi-finals at annual Inter-DPS football tournament
At the annual Inter-DPS football tournament held in Faridabad, the school team put in a splendid performance reaching the semi-finals. In the first match against DPS Bhiwani, the school won 2-0. In the next match against DPS Sirsa, the school scored three goals while conceding none. In our third match against DPS Karnal, the team emerged victors 3-0. The golden streak continued against DPS Hisar which was blanked 3-0. In the quarter final, our team faced the host school DPS Faridabad. They were easily vanquished 3-0. The semifinal against DPS Amritsar was a close affair and the team fought tooth and nail but lost the match 2-1.
For the 3rd place, the school was pitted against DPS Jammu and easily won by 2-0. The school goalkeeper Uzair Tak was declared the best goal keeper of the tournament for conceding only two goals in the entire tournament. Moreover, our team has qualified for the prestigious Inter DPS football tournament- nationals to be held in November.
