School participates in Claude Martin Debate at La Martiniere College Lucknow
DPS Srinagar was invited by the La Martiniere College, Lucknow to participate in the prestigious 6th Claude Martin Debates and Boulone Lise Quiz. This mega event was held from 25th to 27th July 2019. A team of six students, Ali Sadiq, Asma Shakeel, Syed Huda, Hadi Nehvi, Mohammed Ali and Sana Bilal accompanied by Ms. Saira Raza participated in the event.
The participants were from some of the most prestigious schools across the country, RIMC Dehra Doon, Sherwood College, Lawrence School Sanawar, Sriram School Delhi, Vasant Valley Delhi, Loretto School, St. Joseph’s, their own sister schools and many others. The topics were given on spot with an hour and a half to research and present it. You could be the proposition or the opposition. All speakers voiced their opinions forcefully. Team DPS put on a spirited show and were generously applauded. Asma Shakeel was adjudged the ‘Best Individual Speaker’ while Ali Sadiq was awarded Best Speaker and was appreciated and congratulated for being the most impressive Principal speaker of a team.
