School organizes cultural exchange program to Gujarat
A domestic cultural exchange programme was organised by our school with Shristi English Medium School, Anand (Gujarat), from 10/01/2020 to 18/01/2020. A total of ten students along-with two teachers participated in the programme.
The students stayed with the host families. The host school organized educative visits to various places for visiting students. These include the following:
- Papad Factory
- Amul chocolate and milk factory
- Sardar Patel Memorial Museum
- Ancestral home of Sardar Vallabhai Patel
- Akanksha Hospital (Asia’s No. 1 IVF Hospital)
- Karamsad Medical College & Healing Tree
Children also enjoyed Kite Flying Festival with their Host Families (Makar Sakranti).A cultural programme was also organized by the host school in which the students of our school presented a Kashmiri Song and a Kashmiri Folk Dance (Rouf). The programme was a success and the students got an opportunity to know the culture of Gujarat very closely.
The students learnt the art of problem solving, building bridges and overcoming language barriers while experiencing a different culture. These experiences are bound to be of use to them all life.
