Opening ceremony of new building

23-03-15

Delhi Public School, Srinagar celebrated the inaugural function of its new +2 building on March 23, 2015 with great nerve and enthusiasm. The much anticipated function was held in the assembly hall. The day began with an idyllic prayer. Zainab Nissar of Class XII D was the compere of the awaited event. All the students were geared up to start afresh in the new building, which is an architectural masterpiece in itself. The students were first addressed by Ms Rehana, one of the senior teachers, who gave an inspiring and invigorating speech that not only spoke about the feats of the school but also motivated the students to leave a trail of their own. The Principal, Ms Kusam Warikoo, congratulated everyone for this remarkable achievement and also conferred on students the responsibility of becoming examples and role models as the seniors of the school. It was indeed an honor to be given such an exalted status. Mrs. Kiran Dhar, the soul of the school, gave a short but touching addressal. This was followed by the chairperson, Mr. Dhar’s infallible speech, which primarily focused on the fact that DPS is impervious to doom and disaster and that the incessant and inexorable growth of this institution is attributed to all the people associated with it. He also appealed to the students to make something credulous out of their life and prove fruitful to our people and state. This remarkable day not only felicitated the gigantic leap in the development of the inception of the DPS Renaissance, which will take the school to its zenith and make it a temple of learning for ages to come.
