Geetanjali – A tribute to the legendary artists of the country
On 20th Nov 2018, the department of music organized a grand musical event – GEETANJALI. Students across the board paid rich tributes to the legendary artists of the country. Some notable personalities of the valley associated with the art field also were the part of this programme. The musical items which our students performed and presented before the audience were mesmerizing and impressive too. Their performances were appreciated by each and sundry. The scintillating performances impressed Talha Jahangeer (In charge music dept. A.I.R SGR) that he issued a special invitation to our students to perform on A.I.R Sgr on the spot.
Such programs aim at reliving and celebrating the rich and deeply rooted musical tradition of Indian filmi music and Kashmiri music while providing a boost to our new budding talent.
